RELIGIOUS ART | NEWS OF WEEK

ALPHA OMEGA ARTS
By Ernest Disney-Britton
Someone said, "God is what happens to you when man makes plans to do something else." True, isn’t it? Another year has come & gone for those of us linked to the Jewish faith, because at sundown we celebrate Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: ראש השנה‎, literally "head of the year"), the Jewish New Year. Tonight, Jews around the world will sound the shofar (horn) similar to what I am doing now as I announce my personal NEWS OF WEEK. This week, I am excited to announce that I became the Director of Grant Services for the Arts Council of Indianapolis. Today marks a time of new beginnings and blessings, and as is the Jewish tradition, I wish you, "L'Shana Tova".
