CALIFORNIA---Be’chol Lashon, the multicultural nonprofit aimed at strengthening and celebrating the multicultural nature of the Jewish people, will hold its annual “Sukkot Under the Stars” retreat and family camp from Oct. 5-7 at Walker Creek Ranch in Petaluma. One of those will be Bombay-born and New York-based Jewish artist Siona Benjamin, who will talk about the Jews of India and Indian-Jewish identity in relation to her art. Benjamin, whose intricate female-based paintings provoke conversations about stereotyping and religious intolerance, will also lead an arts workshop in the sukkah. [link]
