PAKISTANI OBSERVER
By Sana Jamal
PAKISTAN---Islamabad – Art is ever evolving. And the latest exhibition in the capital city corroborates the evolution of modernism in Pakistani art scene. Artists have used their work to reproduce what is going on around them and to connect with audiences in new ways at the mesmerizing exhibition at Satrang Art Gallery. The 28 art pieces on display are dedicated to the labyrinth theme. The show titled “Laberintour” is jointly arranged by the Argentinean Embassy and Serena Hotel. “ Art acts as a cultural bridge that communicates diverse peoples all over the world, for which social customs, language, religious and racial barriers do not exist” remarked H.E. Rodolfo Martin Saravia, the Argentinean Ambassador, also an Art aficionado. The multi-medium group exhibition features the work of seven brilliant artists, including Argentina’s Jorge Canale. Work of Pakistani artists - Jamil Baloch, Noor Ali Chaghani, Tahir Ali, Qadir Jhatial, Suleman Mengal and Maha Ahmed – is a portrayal of innovation in Pakistani art. [link]
