THE MIRROR
By Fr. David J. Dohogne
MISSOURI---Since the early centuries of the Church, the “arts” have been used by the Church in a variety of ways. Even in our modern, highly-educated world, people still find inspiration, comfort, and peace in these holy places, many of which can be found right here in our own churches within our own diocese. While many of our modern churches are simpler in design and decoration, visual elements are still utilized to enhance and complement our experience of worship. The various images and portrayals of our Lord, our Blessed Mother, and the saints found in our parish churches are, in a sense, a spiritual “photo album” of our great family of faith. What inspires you and turns your heart and mind to God in prayer in your own parish church? [link]
